Book Week
This week was Book Week at school, each class had to design one of their classroom doors. In T1 we choose to do Alice in Wonderland, I helped with lots of the painting, doing the clocks and sticking the leaves on the tree. T1 ended up winning 1st out of all of Team B. I went as Sasha from Attack on Titan.

Potion
How to turn into a fish Equipment
Spoon
Big pot
Ingredients knife
Large glass
7 fish scales
3 cups of salt water
1 drop of your blood
5 bird feet
2 poison ivy leaves
Instructions
First get your salt water, put it into your pot and wait for it to boil. Next put the 7 fish scales in the boiling water and leave for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes get your 1 drop of blood and mix it in until the mixture turns a reddish orange color. For this step you have to be very careful because you have to put your poison ivy leaves and the bird feet into the mix at the same time. Then stir the mixture for 4 minutes then pour into a large glass then drink. You should turn into a fish 2-3 minutes after.
This week we had to write a potion recipe for something, I decided to do mine on, how to turn into a fish. We had to write what ingredients we need and what you need for creating the mixture.

Descriptive Writing
Last week in T1 we were doing Descriptive writing on an image we got, we had to look at the image and describe how being there would feel like, this is mine.
I splashed in the icey blue water as I jumped off the boat, I walked up the beach on the sizzling sand and walked over to the hut I was staying at. As I walked in the sand from my feet covered the stained wood floor. I sat down and I heard the waves lapping onto the shore and palm trees blowing in the breeze.
I go back out onto the hot sand and dive into the glistening light blue water, swimming past fish and sharp colorful coral, I come up for a breath as the beating hot sun shines down on me.
I swim back to the shore and go and get coconut water. I take a sip on the refreshing drink, it runs down my throat, I couldn't think of anything better at the time. I look back out at the clear blue water and see seagulls flying around me. I take a long walk down the beach.
The sand is now cold and I can no longer see the water. I look up and see thousands of tiny sparkling stars smiling down on me, they light up the sky as I turn around, walk back to the hut and go to bed.

Missing
Missing
The year was 1954, there was a girl, her name was Alice she was around 9 years old at the time. She was an only child that lived with her Mom, Dad and her Grandma. Alice goes on a walk most days and she really enjoys it. She goes with her grandma most of the time. They go behind their house up a hill and round a corner then they are almost back home. 1 day Alice went on the walk by herself and she came back just fine, just as she usually would.
When she got back dinner was ready for her and the sun was setting. The next day she woke up and ate breakfast and had a shower, that evening she went on another walk just like she usually would but, she went alone again and today she went a different way to normal Alice went up the hill and round the corner but she didn’t go back home she went for a walk in a forest alone. She went further and further into the forest. Her parents were getting worried but they weren’t panicking yet, Alice turned around and was walking back but she realized she was going the wrong way and she didn’t know what to do. She was scared and worried that she would never see her mom and dad again and that she would never get out of the forest, the sun began to set see was getting scared she didn’t know what to do, Alice screamed “HELPPPP” no one came no one heard, her throat was dry and scratchy she hadn’t drunk water in about 3 hours she didn’t have an before she left and she bung none with her.
Her stomach rumbled, “ I'm so hungry” she said in a quiet voice. Then in the corner of her eye she saw a faint figure of a person. The figure became more and more permanent as the person became closer Alice got scared, she ran, the person didn’t run, didn’t move they just stood there. Alice stopped running then she turned around and no one was there. She thought maybe it was just a nightmare and that she should just go back to sleep and try and find home in the morning.
Back at the house her Mom and Dad couldn’t sleep they were worrying that someone had taken there child and that they could do nothing about it… the next morning they went out looking for Alice they couldn’t find any traces of her then they came across the forest she was lost in and they saw what looked to be one of her hair bands they went further into the forest and they saw the person she saw they asked him if he had send a young girl with brown hair and a yellow coat the man said “yes i've seen her she went over that way” *pointing to the right side of the forest* Alice’s Mom and Dad ran that way and there she was sitting there in the cold alone and scared.

Life during lockdown
Life during lockdown
Life during lockdown was a hard boring life, everyone's experience was different. This is my life during lockdown. It all started 3rd February 2020 when New Zealand went into level 4 lockdown. Just like any other girl I was beyond excited, no more school, no work, no teachers telling me what to do.
How I began my lockdown: wake up 11:00 or 12:00 check my phone for texts. I will reply to any I have then go take a shower and brush my teeth. Then go get some food. Most of the time it will be a smoothie or some kind of drink that i enjoy drinking when I wake up. After that my day kinda is just nothing I had nothing to do nowhere to be no one to talk to this got so boring do the same thing over and over again for at least 2 week maybe. This got so boring after like 3 weeks of nothing to do and sadly not really anyone to talk to. I just wanted to see my friends again. I couldn't even go to see my cousins. A week later school started “nooooo '' maths buddy, zoom meetings that i never went to, reading, writing. I just ended up online shopping, baking, cooking , painting, gaming, anything that would entertain me really. I ended up buying a few face masks. Some of them taking them off literally felt like I was ripping my whole face off. It hurt so much, I baked a lot of cakes and biscuits too, and cooked lots of dishes using pasta and potatoes and other things as well . It was very yum. Well that is my opinion. I think I did a pretty good job since I don’t cook that often and I am not really that good at it. Painting also was another big part of my lockdown. I painted a lot of things like landscapes, silhouettes, abstract and more. I did a lot of drawing as well when I was in lockdown and I could also do more detailed designs since I had soooo much time, that means they could turn out better and look neater when they were finished.
By the end of lockdown I was done doing the same thing over and over and over and over again I just wanted to see my friends and my teacher and my cousins again. I was done with being lonely and having no one to talk to and nothing to do.
This lasted for 7 whole weeks yeah that's longer than the summer holidays. The end of the 7 weeks came and I was beyond excited to see my bestfriends and teacher again. The time came, back to school. There I was back at school with everyone and happy to go back to normal learning. No more zoom classes no more boring online school work no more no one to talk to. back to mostly a normal lifestyle how everything was before.
2020 really set history for us didn’t it.
